Suge Knight killed Tupac and Biggie

Verified purchase

There's two parts to this documentary. Start it tries to tell a scrap of the lives of Biggie and Tupac. For instance information technology goes to Baltimore and talks with ane of Tupac's acting teachers and his begetter. Second, it tries to blame the deaths of Biggie and Tupac upon Suge Knight and Death Row Records who used dingy cops from the Los Angeles Constabulary Department. At the kickoff the film seems a bit haphazard but it eventually becomes more focused upon its argument. The movie striking me because it supports the stories that I heard about what was behind the assassinations of Biggie and Tupac.

One word: Non-expert.

I regret having bought this DVD. I am a huge fan of both Pac and Biggie and was hoping for a great documentary, afterwards all people were lining up at the Sundance Motion picture Festival five deep to encounter this. Nick Broomfield's techniques are so non-expert I felt embarrassed for him. At one point he "runs out of sound" during an interview, in another part, he chooses to call an important FBI source from his jail cell phone while DRIVING through traffic. Many of his questions are then full of fluff that one ex cop he questions tells him to ask more than specific questions! At 1 point he approaches someone in a barbershop, seemingly desperate to discover someone who knows Biggie--a adult female at that place claims to know him but refuses to be interviewed...why include this??? Broomfield is a rookie at documentaries...I retrieve most film major higher students would have made a much better film. Out of the 2 hours of this DVD , I liked maybe twenty min (that included Biggie free styling on a corner when he was younger). If you really want to see this, Hire IT, you lot'll thank me for information technology. "Thug Affections" was 3 times ameliorate than this.

Biggie & Tupac expert, but non groovy.

Verified purchase

This documentary was very informative, but the production value was far lower than yous might remember. It does requite it a raw feel, similar you are on a tour of parts of their lives. That part is cool, but the overall video is basically just an investigative reporter being followed by a camera. The interviews are pretty good, merely in the end a lot of information technology is an investigation of their deaths and not the "beef" they had between them. For the $eight I paid, it was worth it. However, this could take been improve if more coin was invested into it. The highlight was the Suge Knight interview from jail, just he didn't say too much about the crimes.

Broomfield at his best...

Verified purchase

I've anxiously awaited the release of "Biggie & Tupac" for 3 years now. I've been a huge fan of his piece of work for the last 8 years, having seen a expert portion of his movies and having go an avid fan of his style.
This is by far his masterpiece!
Anyone who enjoys the documentary mode should encounter this. Information technology'south truly a work of art!
In typical Broomfield manner, he pushes his way through people and places that most of us would never fifty-fifty consider going to, never mind having extra trunk-guards! Having lost a camera-human in what's described as self-preservation, Nick continues his quest for answers.
Great quality print, excellent sound-runway, very prissy extras and an admittedly fantastic movie that really forces people to see how decadent real life really is. Check it out!

my thoughts of Biggie and Tupac dvd

Verified purchase

I thought the dvd Biggie and Tupac: The murder behind rap'due south biggest superstars was pretty skilful it was very imformative, although I've seen other stories and shows about nearly the rap stars death. This dvd showed alittle bit more than, information technology dug alittle deeper. I was even more sadden at how these two young men were gunned down like animals at the prime of their lives.
